Why We Started the Financial Aid Programme?

Cape of Colours…

Supports students from all nationalities and low-income families by providing financial aid on a case-by-case basis, helping them pursue their educational goals.

We have been actively supporting families in the Yishun community through various forms of financial assistance such as school pocket money, easing the burden of their daily expenses.

Through our annual Book Vouchers Presentation, financially-challenged students from our Free Tuition Programme are presented book vouchers to help them purchase textbooks and assessment books for their upcoming academic year.

Si Ling Secondary School

…it has eased our students' burden…

Si Ling Secondary School wishes to thank Cape of Colours and their donors for their generosity and wonderful kindness. Their financial donations towards our financially needy students’ meals and transport are very much appreciated. On behalf of the parents and guardians of these students we wish to express our deepest thanks. As a result of your help it has eased our students’ burden and facilitated their coming to school regularly. This will certainly give our youngsters a good chance to develop well and contribute back to society in future.

Empowering an aspiring baker

Cape of Colours supported one of our beneficiaries, coming alongside her and the family in providing her with a 13-inch MacBook Air (used but in good condition). We hope this will continue to motivate and help her as she pursues her education in Pastry & Baking at ITE.

Supporting Jessica's dream

Jessica had a dream to pursue her Higher Nitec Course in Interactive Design despite her Robinow Syndrome. Her mother is a cleaner and her father suffered a stroke and was unable to work. Cape of Colours came alongside Jessica with a used 13-inch MacBook Air that is still in good condition together with $300 Popular vouchers.

Easing financial burdens off foreign student & family

Cape of Colours started helping me with financial support since I was Secondary Two. It helped to reduce the financial burden of my family, and gave me the ease to be like any other student, to be able to focus on the things that I needed at my age. I don't have to worry about money all the time. They did not require me to perform well for my studies or life, … All they did was to give with no strings attached.

As a foreign student who studies in Singapore, my family and I are indescribably grateful to be able to receive such help. I wished more needy students can also receive this help that I had undeservingly gotten, in which I would like to play a part in.
