Every child who is eager to learn deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our scholarship program is designed to support and empower students who demonstrate strong academic potential, good character, active participation in school life, and a genuine financial need. By easing financial burdens, we aim to help these students stay motivated and focused on achieving their educational goals.

We offer two categories of scholarships to support our financially-challenged beneficiaries at different stages of their academic journey:

The Cape of Colours Scholarship is established to assist students of all nationalities who are financially in need, at the primary and secondary level, who demonstrate good academic progress, exhibit good character and present active co-curricular activities records with a one-time cash award to meet basic education expenses.

Cape of Colours partners closely with schools to award scholarships based on their recommendations. Here are some key milestones in our scholarship journey:

Cargill Asia Pacific Treasury joined as a steadfast partner in supporting Northbrooks Secondary School Students

Scholarships first awarded to students of Evergreen Secondary School

Google Asia Pacific joined as a committed partner in supporting the first primary school scholarships awarded to students of North View Primary School

The Robert & Marion Lim Scholarships are highly coveted scholarships awarded to motivated students of all nationalities, at the tertiary level, who demonstrate strong academic results, present excellent co-curricular and community records, exhibit good character and strong leadership abilities and potential.

Robert & Marion Lim Scholars are expected to contribute significantly as active volunteers for the Cape of Colours Volunteer Program, and emerge as dynamic global leaders who are capable of effecting a positive impact on society.

Hello, I'm Peng Hui!

Neo Peng Hui was the first recipient of the Robert & Marion Lim Scholarship, awarded on 25 November 2017.

Peng Hui enrolled in our free Maths tuition programme in Primary 5 and remained with us until he completed his GCE O Levels, earning a distinction in Mathematics. Even after graduating from the programme, Peng Hui stayed on to give back to our Free Tuition Programme. Since 2014, he has been volunteering as a Secondary School Maths tutor with Cape of Colours.

Peng Hui excelled in his A Levels, and was awarded the Robert & Marion Lim Scholarship for his first year of undergraduate studies in Materials Science & Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). During his time at NTU, he maintained a GPA above 4.0 and was awarded the Robert & Marion Lim Scholarships for his 4 years of undergraduate studies. He graduated with Honours (Distinction), specialising in Industrial Materials Engineering and Nanoscience & Nanotechnology.

Today, Peng Hui is a Process Integration Engineer and continues to serve as a dedicated volunteer tutor in our Free Tuition Programme. We are proud to have supported his journey and inspired by his continued commitment to give back to the community.
